The Class of 2026
Today we celebrated our wonderful Class of 2026 with our Leavers Mass and assembly. We extend our thanks to Fr Donnelly for such a beautiful mass to mark the end of yet another successful year in Ballylifford Primary School. The children were fantastic during the mass, singing so beautifully and delivering the prayers and readings with such confidence. Back at school we were delighted to welcome the parents and families of our P.7 pupils for some lovely homemade treats and to watch our final assembly.
The children have been working incredibly hard over the last few weeks preparing for today’s assembly. They throughly enjoyed sharing their memories and funny stories about their friends and about the special times they have had in our school. Our P.7 pupils have been fantastic role models and leaders this year, during their assembly today they ‘handed on’ their responsibilities to our P.6 children - P.7 are confident that they are leaving the school in their very capable hands. A major highlight was the “Trip Down Memory Lane” video, which captured their love for learning and their many fantastic experiences in Ballylifford. The pupils have also been eagerly anticipating Mrs Conlan’s leavers poem, it was wonderful to see how much they loved hearing those special words about themselves. We are immensely proud of each and every one of our P.7 pupils for the lasting legacy they leave behind. While we will miss them as they move onto their new schools, we know that they are fully prepared for this exciting adventure ahead.
Thank you to Anne Marie and Orla for preparing the tea and treats for the parents and children after mass, as always it was delicious. We would also like to thank Cliodhna and Rosemary for giving Mrs Conlan such a helping hand to prepare for today’s leavers assembly- your help is much appreciated.
To our Class of 2026: we are so proud of you, you are a fantastic bunch of children who will be dearly missed by us all. Remember that the door at Ballylifford is always open for you!
