P.5/6/7 visit to the Library
We spent a lovely morning visiting Cookstown Library. Sharon took time to show us how the library works, how to search for our favourite titles and how to use the scanner to borrow books. The boys and girls impressed the library staff with their previous knowledge about how a library is used and their understanding of the importance of finding the right book to enjoy. The pupils were so engaged during the reading of the story before they got to explore the library and got a chance to read their books. The pupils were delighted to get using their new library cards to check books out to take home. The staff within the library also commented on the excellent behaviour and wonderful manners displayed by our pupils during their visit. A huge thank to Sharon and all the staff for their warm welcome and help this morning, we look forward to hearing about all the further trips to the library from our boys and girls!
