ETI Inspection Reports
The Education and Training Inspectorate carried out a three day inspection of Ballylifford PS from Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th December 2025. During their visit, inspectors observed all teaching and learning across all classes on two to three separate occasions.
Throughout the inspection, ETI evaluated the five Core Questions central to the new inspection model. Inspectors provided highly effective feedback across many aspects of their visit, including lesson observations, in-depth discussions with pupils, staff, parents, governors and subject co-ordinators, and a thorough analysis of all stakeholder questionnaires. We are deeply grateful to everyone for their ongoing support.
ETI also identified a key example of highly effective practice that may be shared with other schools and more widely across the system:
- The school’s strategic and creative collaboration with others to support professional learning and enhance provision.
A school inspection is a significant moment for any school community, and as a staff we are truly delighted with both the summary and final report. I am extremely proud of the pupils and staff of Ballylifford PS. Their ongoing engagement, enthusiasm and strong work ethic were evident throughout the inspection process.
