Today, we took out Numeracy learning outdoors with a focus on direction and coordination. We explored the points of North, South, East, West - learning about the angles between each direction, including how to move clockwise and anti-clockwise. We also created a coordinate grid on the yard and practised plotting points, remembering to move along the grid before going up. A fun and engaging way to introduce this new topic.
