We had a wonderful morning at Ballinderry Community Hub along with the P.7 pupils of Derrychrin. Frank Diamond lead today’s session on resilience and mental health. He reminded us to embrace who we are, avoid comparing ourselves to others and remember that we are enough! We also talked about the power of kindness, inclusion and making sure that no one is left feeling lonely. Frank shared some brilliant tips for the transition to new schools, emphasising how to bounce back when things don’t go as planned. We closed the session by singing “Lean on Me” as a reminder to always reach out to family and friends for support when we are feeling sad or need help. Thank you, Frank for such a worthwhile and inspiring talk.
