'Thank you' message from Brigid Ann

7th Jun 2026

Brigid Ann would like to share the following message with all pupils, staff, parents, Board of Governors and the wider Ballylifford School Community:-

'I would like to say a sincere thank you to all the staff, pupils and parents of Ballylifford Primary School including the Friends of Ballylifford and Board of Governors.
Thanks to everyone for the kindness, friendship, and support you have shown me throughout my years here and particularly over the last couple of years, when I needed everyone most - all intentions and prayers were greatly received.
I am completely overwhelmed and humbled with the beautiful gifts received from everyone.

Thank you to the school community including Siobhan, Meadhbh & Cathaoir for the beautiful music and to Fr Donnelly on what was a special mass, memories I’ll keep with me.

A big thank you to Ann Marie & Orla for the lovely refreshments served to everyone after mass.

A special thank you to Fiona, who has been such a wonderful support to me and my family over the last few years. Your encouragement and friendship have meant so much to me and my family during this time.

It has been an honour and a privilege to serve our school community for 34 years. What began as a job became so much more—it became a family. Along the way, I have made many lifelong friends and shared countless happy memories within our special parish. Many of these memories...laughs and tears alike were shared with my partner in crime Orla - what happened in the kitchen stayed in the kitchen!

Thank you all for being such an important part of my journey. I will always cherish my time at Ballylifford Primary School and carry many wonderful memories into retirement.'
