Thank you to Johnny our Active Travel Officer from Sustrans who visited the school this morning to speak to the pupils about our two year programme which the school will be involved in and discussed a number of future activities about Road Safety that the pupils will participate in.
It is hoped that the pupils will get opportunity to be involved in Walking buses, Scoot to School and Cycling training. The younger children will be encouraged to take part in ‘Ditch the Stabilisers’ Day and become more bike confident.
Johnny also gave a brief history of the bike and showed everyone his foldable bike as a form of transport he really enjoys and how the pupils should always carry out the The M Check and the ABCD check in order to cycle safely.
The pupils are really excited and can’t wait to get started!
