A special thank you to Karen from Mid-Ulster Council who returned to our school today to assist with our Spring Litter Pick. Karen brought bags and litter pickers and gave these to the members of our School Council and Eco Team. We started cleaning around the school grounds and thankfully there was very little litter there, so we made our way out of the school and cleaned up as we walked along. We picked up lots of litter, especially in the hedges by the side of the road. We found out that cigarette butts, empty bottles and cans and crisps and chocolate packaging were the most common items that we collected. We were blessed with such a fine Spring day and hope to make this an annual event. Well done everyone!
