We have throughly enjoyed our Shared Education programme this half term with Derrychrin and Coagh Primary Schools. Over the past number of weeks, we have loved making new friends, discovering fascinating facts about Farm life, taking part in STEM activities and even perfecting our basketball skills.
Today, we had the wonderful opportunity to travel to the Battery Harbour as part of our Shared Learning. The Mid Ulster Council led us through an exciting morning of pond dipping, bird watching and exploring forestry facts in Northern Ireland. We were also very lucky to visit the Lough Neagh Search and Rescue team, who taught us about their vital work on the Lough and even let everyone sit in the lifeboat, an experience the pupils absolutely loved.
This has been a fantastic first half term of Shared Education, filled with new friendships and hands on learning experiences. We are already looking forward to continuing these fun and engaging activities after mid term break.
