Releasing the trout into Ballinderry River

Over the last number of weeks we have enjoyed having our trout in the classroom! We have throughly enjoyed being hatchery managers, taking charge and looking after our trout until they were big enough to release. Jillian and Frank, from the Ballinderry Rivers Trust met with us today at the Ballinderry River to release our trout back into their natural habitat, allowing them to start the rest of their journey to become an adult trout and begin their life within Lough Neagh. We have found this such a wonderful and exciting experience and would like to offer a special word of thanks to Jillian and Frank for all their help and expertise which was invaluable for us to take care of our trout.
