P7 Confirmation retreat

Today we joined together with the boys and girls from Derrychrin PS to take part in the Confirmation retreat led by Bosco and Chloe from Siolta retreats. Today we learnt that the word ‘Siolta’ is an Irish word meaning seed, we spent time discussing how our faith is like a tiny seed that we need to help grow and flourish. This was a throughly enjoyable experience for our pupils as they spent time working together to distinguish how they will use the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit through discussions, team building exercises and other fun activities. Thank you to Ballinderry Hub for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities to host the retreat. We would like to offer a special word of thanks to Bosco and Chloe for leading and facilitating today’s retreat. The children got a lot from today’s session and are now one step closer to receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
