We’ve had great fun this week learning about Melting and Freezing. We experimented with freezing water in different mediums e.g. rubber gloves and ice cube bags, Caodhan decided to freeze water in a glove at home too and brought it in for us to explore. Today we compared the glove in its liquid form to its solid form and had the greatest fun doing so! We had a challenge to see who could make their ice cube melt fastest, Tiarnan won the challenge by rubbing his ice together with both hands!
We discussed different ways of helping the ice to melt and used warm water and salt to demonstrate, highlighting how the Salt Gritters help treat our icy roads in Winter. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed their learning through cold and messy play!
