KS2 visit to Ballinderry Credit Union

During Maths Week KS2 were invited to visit Ballindery Credit Union. We heard all about the history of the Credit Union and learned that the first ever meetings were held in Ballylifford PS! Siobhan and Philomena gave us a tour of the new building which looks incredible. We saw inside the safe and got to sit in the boardroom chairs... perhaps we have a future chairperson amongst us.  We helped to count coins and notes in the money sorting machine. Each pupil counted out £1 in 10ps which we got to take home with us in our new Credit Union piggy bank! Eoin Devlin who is a past pupil of Ballylifford told us about what it’s like to work in the Credit Union. Thank you to Siobhan and Philomena for a very informative and enjoyable morning.
