Confirmandi 2026
A huge congratulations to our P.7 pupils who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation this evening along with the pupils of Derrychrin P.S. We were delighted to welcome Archbishop Eamon Martin to Ballinderry Parish to lead tonight’s Confirmation service along with Fr Donnelly and Fr Juan. Our sincere thanks for such a beautiful ceremony. We extend our word of thanks to Fr Donnelly for his continued support and guidance for our children. Thank you to John Wilson for helping us in our preparations in the lead up to Confirmation and to the altar society for the beautiful floral arrangements. Thank you to Philomena McGuckin who prepared our altar servers so well for tonight’s mass. Our altar servers, Ethan and Eimear did a fantastic job and we would like to thank them both for their fantastic effort. We really appreciated having John O’Neill join us to take our class photo and family pictures at the end of mass, thank you so much. Our choir were absolutely fantastic and sang so beautifully, which added so much to our ceremony. Thank you to Miss Hughes and Mrs Sweeney for preparing the children so well. Thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us tonight to celebrate this very special event in the lives of our P.7 pupils and for playing such an important role in preparing the children for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. A special thank you to Mrs Conlan for having the P.7 pupils so wonderfully prepared.
To our P.7 pupils, we are so proud of you! Our children are a credit to the families and our school, they were exemplary in their preparation for Confirmation and were fantastic in leading the prayers, readings, singing and playing the tin whistle so beautifully during the offertory. We wish our P.7 pupils continued happiness and success as they embrace the remainder of their P.7 year. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful group of mature, happy and hardworking pupils who prepared for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation with such reverence. We hope you had a wonderful evening celebrating with your families.
Well done to everyone who helped make this such a special evening for our children - a real team effort! We are a very proud school community tonight!
