BEAM workshop

29th Jan 2026
Today we took part in an Online Safety workshop delivered by BEAM, led by Ro and Sue. We learned how to recognise scams and why it is important to never share private information, our location or photos with people we don’t know. We discussed different scenarios and had to decide whether they were safe or unsafe. We also watched a video showing that once something is posted online, it can stay there forever. The workshop reminded us how important it is to speak up if something online makes us feel uncomfortable. We also talked about how we should never share passwords with anyone except our parents and focused on how AI has become such a big part of life today. Ro and Sue said they were very impressed with the role our Digital Leaders play in our school. They praised everyone on their excellent knowledge of how to stay safe online, avoid scams and make smart choices when using the internet. This was such a worthwhile and valuable workshop for our pupils to take part in, we would like to offer our thanks to Ro and sue for taking time to join us today and further educate us on the importance of online safety.
