Ballinderry Shamrocks Centenary Celebrations in P1/2
3rd Jun 2026
Today we commemorated the very first recorded Gaelic match that Ballinderry Shamrocks played exactly 100 years ago against Moortown St. Malachy’s.
As part of our celebrations, we firstly dressed in a sea of blue and white in homage to our local club. We were then treated to a day of fantastic GAA skills coaching from some very talented coaches from The Shamrocks Club. We also participated in some mindfulness activities relating to the GAA in memory of that very first game against another great loughshore team.
A huge thank you to the club for providing us with such skilful and patient coaches - Lena, Caitlin, Cillian and Leon. We had such a fabulous day despite the miserable weather!
