In preparation for Christmas we explored the meaning behind the Advent candles and their importance in the lead up to Christmas. We learnt that the candles represent Hope, Peace, Love and Joy, reminding us of the true values we celebrate during this season. The pupils used Just2Easy to write about the candles and their symbolism. They also showcased their creativity by creating beautiful Advent wreaths using oil pastels for the candles and tissue paper to add texture and depth to their wreaths. A beautiful display to help us prepare for the season of Christmas.
