Well done to all our P.6 and P7 boys and girls who took part in the Aaron Devlin Memorial tournament today at Ballinderry GAA. We were blessed with glorious weather and we are extremely proud of all the children for their performances today. The boys played with great skill and determination and were defeated by a strong Loup team who went on to win the Boys Shield. Thanks to Adrian and Meadhbh for assisting the boys today.
The girls were absolutely fantastic and their confidence increased in every game - they battled their way right to the Shield final but unfortunately were beaten by Lissan PS. The girls were delighted to be going home with silver medals as ‘Runners Up’ in the Girls Shield. A huge thank you to Gary and Stephen for encouraging and helping the girls today. Thank you also to Brigid Ann and Orla for the delicious dinner - they always go the extra mile for our children. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all parents who transported children to and from the pitch, picked up the dinners and helped the children at lunch time.
Thank you to Mr McElroy, Derrychrin PS and the whole Ballinderry community for your organisation and hospitality throughout the day - the children thoroughly enjoyed this very special tournament in memory of Aaron.
