In May we remember Mary our Mother

Over the last 4 weeks in May we have been remembering Mary our mother during our weekly Friday assembly.  

We attended mass on the first Friday in May, prayed the rosary each Friday at our whole school assembly, learned the Hail Mary in Irish and P.1/2 shared a special assembly about Mary the mother of God. 

Our May altar has remained at the front of the school hall throughout the month of May and our P.5/6/7 children created a beautiful wall display.  We concluded today with the song 'Hail Mary - Gentle woman' during which the children prayed in silence thanking Mary for teaching us 'wisdom and love'.  We continue to ask Mary to protect us and care for everyone in our Ballylifford school community.
