In our Numeracy lesson today, the pupils were exploring fractions through active, hands on learning. Using playdoh, pupils created and divided shapes to represent halves, quarters, thirds and more. This active approach helped to reinforce pupil understanding of equal parts and comparing and ordering fractions. To support the practical learning, we also made use of fraction walls on the whiteboard. A fun and engaging way to deepen our understanding of fractions.
